The GTA IV Shipments Have Started
You all know by now that GTA IV, the game, is on the way. What a few lucky people did not know, until I just wrote this post, is that their special edition GTA IV consoles are on the way to them. A few weeks ago we were able to secure a handful of custom painted elites and asked some indie sites to hold contests on their sites to give them away to their loyal fans. The consoles are gloss coated and feature the GTAIV logo on both sides and on the faceplate. The colorful numbered consoles you may have seen on the world wide web were limited to 500 units and we could not pull the strings to snag those, so we made a new batch of 8 with Rockstar approved designs.
The sites included in the contest were Cheapassgamer.com, GTAwarehouse.com, Allgames.com, Evilavatar.com and GTA4.TV. So far, EvAv and GTA4.TV have already wrapped up their contests and the winners have been selected. Those consoles have already hit the road and we hope they are received quickly and in good health. Evil Avatar’s contest involved taking a photo of yourself as a GTA character. (I considered myself ineligible to participate, and… it just wouldn’t be fair.) This was the winning entry:
